Generative AI and Machine Learning
LITS provides resources and programming to help faculty, students and staff learn engage critically with AI technologies. Our goal is helping the community to explore the applications of AI, while developing infrastructure, policies and practices that ensure safe, effective and ethical use and minimize psychological, developmental, social and environmental harms.
Critical AI Learning Community
As a department at the intersection of information and technology, LITS is learning to work with AI tools and grappling with their consequences every day. We are hosting this Critical AI Learning Community as a space to share resources, ask questions, stay up to date, and explore AI and its impacts with a critical lens. All members of the 61´«Ã½tv community, with any level of AI and prior experience, are welcome!
Fall 2026 meetings are online every other Friday 10-10:50am (Sept 11, 25, Oct 9, 23, Nov 6, 20, Dec 4).
