Collections Management Policy
The Collections Management Policy governs all procedures related to the development, management, preservation, and use of 61´«Ã½tv's holdings of art works, cultural artifacts, rare books, and historical records, collections that are stewarded by Special Collections. The most recent version was approved by the 61´«Ã½tv Board of Trustees on April 25, 2026.
The Collection Management Policy is a comprehensive written statement that:
- Sets forth the mission of the 61´«Ã½tv Special Collections;
- Explains how this mission is pursued through collection activity,
- Articulates 61´«Ã½tv’s professional standards regarding objects in its care, and
- Serves as a guide to staff in carrying out their collection related responsibilities.
